November 2008

ALL MONTH! For the whole month of November our church family will be "adopting" The Children's Inn at NIH. That means that we are committing to daily prayer on behalf of the children, siblings and parents of those receiving care, but also let's pray for the many staff and physicians working with them!

Sunday, November 2nd... All Saints Day joint worship with two other congregations! We will worship with two nearby groups: the Church of the Common Table and the College Park Church Plant.

Sunday, November 9th... "Looking Back" We'll be taking a stroll down the story of Church in Bethesda over the past 15 months. God is good and has been active in you, so we're taking a Sunday to celebrate!

Sunday, November 16th... "Looking Forward" We're doing some "pre-visioning" of what God has in store for us by way of talking about current leadership changes happening and what we're trying to prepare ourselves to be doing in minitsry and in growth as a church family in the next year!

Sunday, November 23rd... "Stewardship and Participation" It's time to talk about our committments to our community of faith through our pocketbooks, our time and our passions.

Sunday, November 30th... First Sunday of Advent (beginning of Year B in the Lectionary)

Sunday, December 7th... Second Sunday of Advent

Sunday, December 14th... Third Sunday of Advent

Sunday, December 21st... Fourth Sunday of Advent, and we're blessing Marcella Rose Franklin, our latest birth!

Wednesday, December 24th... Christmas Eve Service at CiB!

Thursday, December 25th... Christmas Day!
