Day 151, Morning
Reading
Since we have confidence to approach God because of what we learned from Jesus, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with faith, having our hearts cleansed from a guilty conscience. Let us hold unswervingly to hope, for God is faithful.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up gathering together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the day approaching.
—Hebrews 10 (NT)
Stillness
As your day begins, spend a few moments in silence and stillness. As you do, recall any words or phrases that stood out to you from the passage that you just read. Whisper them aloud if you wish.
Prayer
• for the ability to deny ourselves and serve others
• for the commitment to do justice and show mercy
