A Farewell To Friends
On Sunday, July 3, 2022, we said goodbye to our good friends, the Schwarzkopfs, who are moving back to Berlin, Germany. We threw them a picnic celebration to show them our love. You may view some pictures of the celebration here.
A Few Words From Julia
"If I could, I would take all of you with us to Berlin. Why? Because I know that we will never find a church like this one again.
Berlin is very open and welcoming as a society, but those values don't often translate into houses of worship there. At CiB “Everyone is welcome” and “You can be what you are” here. Those are not just words here. They are common practice.
I am not a believer, but I am invited to and welcome at the Lord's Table every Sunday. I think that is what Jesus wanted and I will miss that.
I will also miss seeing each of you every Sunday, hearing the beautiful music, having fun together, listening to the sermons, and most of all, the friendships.
We are taking all of these good memories with us to Germany.
Thank you for everything, and I hope that we stay in touch."
