Day 316, Evening

Today’s evening meditation is available below in audio and script formats. The audio version is also available for free download on the player.

Reading

Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a person who shows no discretion.

The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in calamity.

One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

—Proverbs 11 (OT)

Quiet

As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness.

Prayer

Wise God, people name this wisdom of the ages differently—karma, the law of attraction, the golden rule—but it all comes from you. Thank you for your refreshing grace that jumpstarts the flow of grace to others, your attractive goodness that enables me to do good to my neighbor, and your generosity that moves me to share with those in need. Amen (HC)
