Day 152, Evening
Reading
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly places in Christ. He chose us before the creation of the world. In love, he predestined us for adoption as his children.
In him we have redemption in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that was lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will, to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth.
—Ephesians 1 (NT)
Stillness
As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness. As you do, recall any words or phrases that stood out to you from the passage that you just read. Whisper them aloud if you wish.
Prayer
God of faith-stretching wisdom, I stand in awe before your eternal plan to unite all things in Christ. May your Holy Spirit be the seal of your promise, and may my life be directed to the hope of your coming kingdom. Amen. (HC)
