Affirmation of Membership

Our blue doors at Church in Bethesda are open to all who are on a spiritual journey. We offer an open, inclusive, affirming community of loving people from many different countries and denominations. 

All are welcome at CiB regardless of membership, but if you would like to formally join our congregation, we ask that you affirm three simple, but important things in the life of our community.

We want to hear your ideas and dreams, because this isn’t a church run by a few professionals at the top of an organizational chart. This community is a family-yours and ours. 

Invite to us. 

How has this community impacted your life? Every day, we hear the stories of CiBers who have been touched by our work. Wouldn’t you love to see that happen in the lives of your friends? Inviting them to come with you, helps them grow on their spiritual journey and helps us grow in numbers and talents. 

Invest in us. 

This is not the normal church’s mandate for you to simply give your money.  We welcome that, but we ask you to invest some of your time and energy in helping our community continue to thrive and grow. We have a number of opportunities for you to serve, and would love for you to join us in our work in the world.
